The research was conducted a research on 1096 teens who reside in the Iksan area.

YongJun Lee was in charge of conducting this research and it shows what the teens think of community involvement and safety.

The research revealed that the Iksan teens do not trust the media coverage about the ferry disaster. It reveals a prevailing distrust among teens.

According to the research, 72.6% of the students said they do not trust the media.

The 80% of the teens do not think that the government’s national security and public safety is adequate revealing distrust of the government. 

150 people participated in the seminar including the Iksan students and citizens.

The seminar began with an opening speech followed by a memorial performance by DEW lead by MyungSun Yu. KunHee Jung from the center for teens, HooSik Lee from the association of Taean Boot Camp surviving families, SungHwa Jeong from the association of Iksan high schools spoke in turn.

YoonKeun Kim who prepared the seminar said, “I wanted to raise awareness about this because I do not want this horrible accident to happen ever again. I really want this to be an opportunity to make a safe society for teens.
