Noh SaYoen's 'Love' was playing at the quite NamJoon culture center.

The deep and moving sounds of guitars woke up the July morning.

The atmosphere quickly became lively when WonKyum Kim the instructor started playing the guitar.

The guitar club 'Romance' practice playing the guitar every Wednesday.

People gather early in the morning chatting, and practicing playing the guitar.

Those who are skilled play together or talk about the music they are working on.

The instructor mainly work with new members in person.

The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming.

The guitar club 'Romance' started 6 years ago with people in their 50s and 70s.

It is their sanctuary for their minds and bodies.

They don't have a regular performance scheduled but they performed at local events.

SeokKi Soe said, "the members have improved a lot since we started playing the guitar together and there are some people who want to try playing the Saxophone or Korean traditional instruments."

They share many performance ideas as well.

"We'd like to help others with music, so we are planning to put on a charity performance. Sports make your body healthy and music makes your minds strong," he added.

Soe initially started playing the guitar in order to find some purpose in his life.

"There are some members in our guitar club who got hurt and suffered from depression, but they are getting over it by playing the guitar together. I think music is a very powerful thing that can comfort you," Seo said.
