SungKyu Park is the principal of Iri Tech High school.

He is 60 years old and never stops working and caring for his students to make a difference. Park has been working as a teacher for 37 years and he specializes vocational education through upgraded expertise by incorporating his experience as a tech and vocational school teacher.

Besides, he implemented guard rails and Braille and signs for disabled students striking a chord in the hearts of parents. He held a pop song contest in order to tone up the school. The one student one instrument movement became a great success.

The school distributed 420 harmonicas to all students. He revived the festivals like Kirim Festival, Poetry Reading, and Music recital. The school broadcasted music during the lunch time.

The Principal started sports league that 40 school clubs participate in so that the school life would be more fun and lively for the students. He posted pictures of teachers and students for good deeds in order to motivate students to do their best at school.

The most interesting thing he does is that he writes to his teachers every Monday morning since he came to Iri Tech High. He improved the communication among faculty.

Because of all his hard work, he was awarded with the presidential service merit medal.

“There are so many good teachers who deserve the medal. I am very embarrassed to win it,” he said humbly. The principal Park will continue to do his best.
