The school is having a hard time recently.

The institution’s medical school was shut down because of the poor management of the department.

Worst of all, the scandal of embezzling school funds was revealed.

While going through all these, KyungAhn Kim was elected as a 6th chancellor of the university. He formerly represented the Chunbuk chapter of the Saenuri party.

On Agust 26, the new board was appointed and the new chancellor was elected on the 18th and the inauguration was held on the 27th.

The school was in a difficult position because the founder HongHa Lee was suspected to embezzle school funds.

On top of everything, the ministry of education put a ban on registering all medical school students for 2015.

The medical school seemed to be closed but the board filed for an injunction for suspending the ban on registering all medical school students and it was granted. 

Kim is thought of as a person who is cut out for the job because he is a seasoned politician and is very diplomatic.

 “We elected Kim because we thought he could put our school back on track. He was the representative of the Chunbuk chapter of Saenuri and the special advisor of the former Saenuri’s representative and current minister of the ministry of education WooYeh Hwang,” said one member of the board.

 “We expect him to lead the institution and improve our school’s difficult situation.”

“We need to solve three problems,” said the new chancellor.

“We need to fight for our medical school so that it doesn’t close down. We need to satisfy the requirements of the ministry of education so that we put our school back on track and get rid of any inefficiencies. We are in an overall crisis and I will do my best to improve the situation,” said the chancellor.

In order to improve the situation that the institution is in, he will utilize his social network.

He wants to be a business man like chancellor.

 In cooperation with the board, he will handle his first task. He and the board will prepare an extensive report for the lawsuit for the medical school by November 4th so that they could submit the report to the relevant government agencies.

SeoNam University was founded in 1991. Its mission was “pursue the truth, creativity, and altruism.” SeoNam University has two campuses in NamWon and AhSan.

The institution was accredited as a four year university in 1992.

The University started their graduate program in Business and Education in 1995. There are two hospitals, SeoNam medical hospital and Green cross hospital.

KyungAhn Kim graduated Namsung High, Wonkwnag University where he got his ph.D in Public administration.
